Thank you for using Wealthii, a financial wellness and education mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information about you when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Who We Are

Wealthii is operated by Tide Turner Learning Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). When we say "Wealthii," we're referring to our mobile application and all related services.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of Wealthii after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and username.

Financial Learning Data: To provide personalized financial education, we collect your responses to financial literacy quizzes and assessments, your Money Personality Quiz results, and your learning progress and achievement data.

Wellness and Emotional Data: When you use our wellness features, we collect daily emotional check-in responses (how you feel about money), journal entries and reflections, mindfulness and wellness practice completion data, and emotional pattern data over time (used to generate wellness heatmaps and insights).

AI Coach Conversation Data: If you use the AI Money Coach (Pro feature), we collect the messages you send to the AI Coach and the AI-generated responses. This data is used to provide the coaching experience and may be processed by third-party AI service providers as described below.

User-Generated Content: We collect information you choose to share, such as achievements or progress updates, and feedback and support requests.

Information We Collect Automatically

Usage Information: We collect data about how you use Wealthii, including features accessed and time spent in the app, learning units completed and quiz scores, game progression and achievements unlocked, and session frequency and duration.

Device Information: We may collect your device model, operating system, and version, IP address, and app version and crash reports.

Technical Data: We collect standard log information such as access times and dates, screens viewed and user interactions, and performance data and error reports.

Information from Third Parties

Authentication Services: If you sign in using third-party services like Apple ID or Google Account, we receive basic profile information such as your name and email, account verification status, and unique identifier tokens.

Analytics Partners: We work with analytics services that may collect aggregated usage patterns, performance metrics, and user engagement data.

Note: We do not collect actual financial account information, banking details, or sensitive financial data.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to provide and improve our services in several key ways.

Provide Core Services: We use your information to deliver personalized financial education content tailored to your learning level, personality, and interests; track your learning progress, streaks, and achievements; provide emotional wellness tracking and generate wellness insights; power the AI Money Coach with context about your learning journey, personality, and emotional patterns; enable gamification features such as badges, leaderboards, and challenges; and provide customer support when you need assistance.

Improve Our Services: We analyze usage patterns to enhance app functionality, develop new features and educational content, fix bugs and improve app performance, and conduct research on financial literacy and wellness education effectiveness.

Communicate With You: We send important app updates and notifications, provide educational tips and reminders, respond to your questions and support requests, and send promotional communications about new features or content (only with your consent).

Legal and Security: We use your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, protect against fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the rights and safety of all our users.

AI Processing and Third-Party AI Services

Wealthii's AI Money Coach feature uses third-party artificial intelligence services (currently Google's Gemini API) to generate personalized educational responses. When you interact with the AI Coach:

  • Your messages, along with contextual information such as your personality, learning progress, and recent emotional check-ins, are sent to the third-party AI provider for processing
  • The AI provider processes this data to generate responses and returns them to the App
  • We store AI Coach conversation history in our database to maintain conversation context and improve the coaching experience
  • The third-party AI provider may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies and data processing terms

We select AI service providers that offer appropriate data protection commitments. However, we encourage you to avoid sharing highly sensitive personal information (such as account numbers, passwords, or government identification numbers) in AI Coach conversations.

We may change our third-party AI provider from time to time. Any such change will maintain equivalent or better data protection standards.

How We Share Your Information

We only share your information in limited circumstances and take great care to protect your privacy in all our data sharing practices.

Service Providers: We work with trusted third parties who help us operate Wealthii, including cloud hosting and storage providers who securely store your data, analytics and crash reporting services that help us understand how the app performs, customer support platforms that enable us to assist you when needed, and email and notification services that allow us to communicate important information to you.

Legal Requirements: We may share information when required to comply with valid legal processes or government requests, investigate potential Terms of Service violations to maintain platform integrity, protect the rights, property, and safety of Wealthii, our users, or others, and detect and prevent fraud or security issues that could harm our community.

Business Transfers: If Wealthii is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

With Your Consent: We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.

Aggregated Data: We may share non-personally identifiable, aggregated statistics about app usage with partners and researchers.

We do not sell personal information to third parties for monetary consideration.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information and take data security seriously. Our security measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest to prevent unauthorized access, regular security assessments and updates to stay ahead of emerging threats, access controls and authentication requirements to ensure only authorized personnel can access your data, and monitoring for suspicious activities to detect and respond to potential security incidents quickly.

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information using industry-standard security practices, we cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to take steps to protect your own account, such as using strong passwords and keeping your login credentials confidential.

Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide Wealthii services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Learning progress data: Retained to maintain your educational journey and track your growth over time
  • Wellness and emotional data: Check-in responses, journal entries, and wellness heatmap data are retained while your account is active to maintain your wellness history. You may delete individual journal entries at any time through the App.
  • AI Coach conversation history: Retained for up to 12 months to maintain conversation context and improve the coaching experience. You may request deletion of AI conversation history at any time by contacting us.
  • Log data: Typically retained for 12 months
  • Support communications: Retained for 3 years

Your Rights and Choices

You have several rights regarding your information and we're committed to making it easy for you to exercise these rights.

Account Management: You can access and update your profile information at any time within the app, and delete your account and associated data whenever you choose to stop using Wealthii.

Communication Preferences: You have full control over how we communicate with you, including the ability to opt out of promotional emails while still receiving important service updates, manage push notification settings to control what alerts you receive, and control in-app communication preferences to customize your experience.

Device Permissions: You can modify app permissions through your device settings to control what information Wealthii can access, and control access to camera, microphone, or other device features based on your comfort level and privacy preferences.

Legal Rights (EU/UK/California residents): You have additional rights including the right to access personal data we hold about you, right to correct inaccurate information to ensure your data is up-to-date, right to delete your personal data when it's no longer needed, right to restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances, right to data portability to move your information to other services, and right to withdraw consent for processing based on consent.

Sensitive Wellness Data

We recognize that emotional and wellness data — such as how you feel about money, journal reflections, and personality results — may be sensitive in nature. We treat this data with additional care:

  • Wellness and emotional data is never sold to third parties
  • Wellness data is not used for targeted advertising
  • Aggregated, de-identified wellness insights may be used for research purposes to improve financial wellness education, but individual data is never shared in identifiable form

You may delete your journal entries and wellness history at any time through the App or by contacting us at privacy@tideturnerlearning.com.

Children's Privacy

Wealthii is designed for users aged 13 and older. Users between 13 and 18 should review this Privacy Policy with a parent or guardian before using Wealthii and may only use the App with parental consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at privacy@tideturnerlearning.com.

International Data Transfers

Wealthii operates globally, and your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place when transferring data internationally, including standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions by regulatory bodies, and other legally approved transfer mechanisms.

Third-Party Services

Wealthii may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those external services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through Wealthii.

For users in the European Union and United Kingdom, we process your data based on contract performance to provide Wealthii services, legitimate interest to improve our services and prevent fraud, consent for marketing communications and optional features (which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligations when required by applicable laws.

California Privacy Rights

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Right to know what personal information is collected
  • Right to know if personal information is sold or disclosed
  • Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information
  • Right to delete personal information
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights
